BTS, Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean 7-member boy band. According to member J-Hope, the name signifies the group's desire "to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets".
Since exploding onto the South Korean music scene with their hit debut single album ‘2 Cool 4 Skool’ in 2013, BTS has grown into a global phenomenon. Known for their catchy pop tunes and synchronized dance routines, the band is celebrated by a loyal international fan base, known as BTS Army.
Supported by millions of fans worldwide and a massive social media presence – with 22.2 million followers on Twitter and 9.27 million on Facebook – BTS have single-handedly smashed international entertainment industry records.
