Neil Peart was a Canadian musician and writer. He was the famous drummer and lyricist of the rock band Rush. His drumming was renowned for its technical proficiency while his live performances were appreciated for their exacting nature and stamina.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Peart floated between regional bands in pursuit of a career as a full-time drummer. After difficulties at a start of his career, it all changed when he joined Rush. They released nineteen studio albums, with ten exceeding a million copies sold, propelling them to the legendary status.
